Specialist workshops for IDSMM students

Within the task Making the IDSMM studies more attractive we have planned ten specialist workshops conducted by:
  • representatives of employers,
  • guests from research and training centres operating in Poland and abroad,
  • members of research and teaching staff working at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of the University of Gdańsk.
The first workshop, titled Tuning of microwave filters with the use of multidimensional approximators will take place on the 22nd and 23rd
 of October 2014, on the premises of Spaceforest Sp. z o.o. (PPNT Gdynia), Al. Zwyciestwa 96/98, 81-451 Gdynia.
The workshop will be conducted by dr hab. inż Jerzy Julian Michalski.

The second workshop, titled An introduction to mathematics of finance: basic ideas and problems will take place on the 16th and 17th of December 2014:

The workshop will be conducted by prof. dr hab. Łukasz Stettner from Institute of Mathematics of Polish Academy of Science.

The third workshop, titled Topological invariants in action will take place on the 25th, 26th and 27th of February 2015:

The workshop will be conducted by prof. Grzegorz Graff from Technical University of Gdańsk.

The fourth workshop, titled Themes in modern numerical mathematics: Lie-group methods and highly oscillatory phenomena

The workshop will be conducted by Prof. Arieh Israels, University of Cambridge.

The workshop will be conducted by prof. Bernard De Baets from Gent University.

The sixth workshop, titled Gibbs Measures will take place:

The workshop will be conducted by prof. Tomasz Szarek from University of Gdańsk.

The seventh workshop, titled Introduction to free probability will take place:
